'Ulsan-Pohang, March 1st Independence Movement' Announced K-League's 2024 Season Schedule

 The Korea Professional Football Federation unveiled the schedule of the K League 1 regular league for the 2024 season on the 15th.

A total of 12 clubs will participate in this season's K League 1, from defending champion Ulsan HD FC to promotion team Gimcheon Sangmu, and a total of 198 games will be played in the regular round, with 33 games per team.

The official opening match of the 2024 K-League 1 will be a match between Ulsan and Pohang Steelers at 2 p.m. on March 1st at Munsu Football Stadium in Ulsan. Ulsan, which won its second straight FA Cup last season, and Pohang, the winner of the FA Cup, will meet from the opening match to play the East Coast Derby.

Jeonbuk Hyundai and Daejeon Hana Citizen will meet at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium at 4:30 p.m. on the same day. Jeonbuk has recruited proven resources such as Kim Tae-hwan, Lee Young-jae and Thiago during the upcoming winter transfer market. "Friday Night Football" will continue this season. Each team will have 12 Friday night games. This season's first "Friday Night Football" will be held at Incheon Football Stadium, Incheon and Gimcheon, and Suwon FC and Ulsan, Suwon Stadium, respectively.
